My name is Nedelcho Ganchovsky, MSc structural engineer and founder of Proektsoft EOOD. If you are also a structural engineer and you are looking for nice and useful software for your work then this page is for you. I have more than 10 years experience in structural design of nuclear power plant facilities, industrial, residantial and public buildings in Bulgaria, UK and Africa. I have used many complicated computer programs in my work for static and dynamic linear and nonlinear analysis as well as 2D and 3D CAD. Besides all advanced features available in software packages I often needed to perform quick and simple calculations as well as repeated and tedious tasks. I used my computer skills to create a lot of small programs, macros and add-ons to automate my work and managed to make it  much more efficient. That is how the Design Expert package was started. I shared it with my collegues for free and got valuable feadback: a lot of ideas, comments and bug reports.

The package was successful. The number of users was growing, they had questions, demanded support and took most of my time. That is why I founded Proektsoft EOOD in 2008 and started to develop and support the professional version. Currently Design Expert has more than 500 users and thousands of buildings has been designed with its help. Software is no longer free, but it has quite reasonable price.
